After the first layers of Missy’ portrait were drying for one day, I started with the new layers and came across a problem I have never experienced before. Even so the first layer had time to dry for a full day, they still did not seem to be stable. The new wet paint lifted up the already dried layers. Like the first layer had not fused with the canvas.
So before destroying the painting totally, I just left it at this stage and showed it to Liz, the owner of Missy. Liz was happy with the portrait as it was, so I just left it. Here it is
