Pink Water Lilies – SOLD

This unique and ‘one off’ only original painting of the Blossoms of the Pink Water Lilies was created using a dirty flip cup pour combined with a swipe using Global Acrylic Paint, Floetrol and Dimethicone on a 3mm MDF board

A flip cup pour uses several layers of different acrylic paint colour poured into a plastic cup that is then flipped onto the canvas in one swift movement. The paint will be distributed by carefully moving the canvas. In a swipe, a swipe colour, in this case the dark blue, will be carefully placed onto one edge of the painting. Then a swipe tool will drag the swipe colour over the canvas leaving many different size cells on the surface. After this procedure the painting has to be handled very carefully for 5-8 hours to ensure that no accident is destroying the design. After the paint has completely dried, which can take up to 48 hours, any embellishment can be added.

After finishing this acrylic pour in several different shades of blues and greens, I immediately saw a pond covered with the leaves of water lilies emerging. To bring the Lilies to life I used hot pink, white and warm red Global Acrylic paint, adding the Blossoms of the Pink Water Lilies to the pond.

This small painting is framed with a modern black timber frame 22cm wide by 22cm high. The artwork is framed by a white mat and protected by glass. 2 D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back and it is ready to hang to brighten up your home.

A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be attached to the back of the painting.

Your painting will be packed with extra care in a sturdy cardboard box and shipped out within 1-3 business days. The Artwork is signed on the Front when possible.
