Purple Swamp-Hen’s are living next to our backyard as they like to be close to the reeds in the water. The birds body is mainly dusky black blue, revealing a white under tail that looks like it is loosing a big white egg, It’s collar is a lighter blue blue and is has huge toes. We almost have problem keeping the Swamp-Hen out of our backyard as they are not shy at all. This painting is also part of my ‘Forest Lake Bird’ series
