During its mobile phase a Jellyfish is also called a ‘Medusa”. It’s the medusa phase that we’re usually referring to when we talk about jellyfish. Jellyfish are as strange and diverse as they are common, and we know only very little about these fascinating marine stingers. They actually aren’t fish, and they can make copies of themselves, even become young again. Jellyfish are beautiful with their pulsating bells and long, trailing tentacles. I hope that this painting is capturing the fluidity and grace of these creatures.

The painting ‘Medusa‘ is an original manipulated fluid acrylic pour on watercolour paper, aiming to create a jellyfish. The paint was purposely moved around by blowing it with a straw to achieve a jellyfish motive.

The original painting is on 19cm x 24cm watercolour paper and is framed with a 30cm x 38cm black modern frame and white mat protected by glass. Two d-rings are attached to the back and it is ready for hanging.
