During my Art studies the environmental endangerment of the turtle was one of my my final assignments for my diploma. So turtles are still a big part of my art practice but they also fascinate me with their interesting colours and body pattern. For this new body of work I am combining fluid acrylic painting with more traditional painting. The fluid pour is mainly applied to give me a textured back ground for the turtle. The floor of the sea and the sea weeds were created over the ocean back ground. The painting was finished by adding a watery blue glaze over the whole painting and varnished it for protection
