Australian Gum by Marta Blaszak – Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around me. The texture of leaves and rocks have always fascinated me and always were a challenge to recreate them in Acrylics in a natural looking way.

So this time I decided to  paint the gum leaves in water colour on 300msg acrylic paper using natural colours in many different shades.  I collected a bunch of these colourful leaves from my backyard and laid them out on the table for this painting.

This original painting of  ‘Australian Gum’ is in water colour on 300msg watercolour paper. It has been protected with two layers of gloss varnish to bring out the bright colours. The dimensions of the painting is 28cm x 35cm and it is framed with a 32.5cm x 40.5cm x2cm recycled black/white frame without a mat or glass. Hanging wire is attached to the back of the painting and it is ready to hang
