Blue Wren Couple

Another painting inspired by the bird life around the lake in Forest Lake. These tiny beautiful birds are common around the parks and gardens where I live, They are usually seen in small social groups with one male and several females. The dazzling white, black and blue colours of the male Fairy Wren’s head, neck and tail distinguishes it from  the females plain brown and white plumage. They are not shy around people and one can often observe them from close up.

This painting is watercolour on MDF board and framed with a 28cm x 39cm mahogany coloured recycled timber frame. It is protected by 2 layers of clear acrylic spray and is without glass. 2 D-Rings and hanging wire are attached at the back. It can be easily reframed commercially with a frame of your choice.
