Turbulence – SOLD

This unique original painting of ‘Turbulence’ was created using a dirty flip cup pour with Global Acrylic Paint, Floetrol and Dimethicone on a gallery wrapped canvas. In this technique the cup full of paint is flipped onto the canvas in one swift movement  and the paint will be distributed by carefully moving the canvas.  After this procedure the painting has to be handled very carefully for 5-8 hours to ensure that no accident is destroying the design. After the paint has completely dried, which can take up to 48 hours, any embellishment can be added. It is very difficult to work in a larger scale with this method as the paint will start mixing with too much motion and I might end up in creating mud instead of a colourful design.

I have not embellished this artwork as the resulting image reminded me of the raging current of a flowing river, and the ‘turbulance’ is quite visible. ‘Turbulence’ didn’t need any more addition to the artwork to explain as to what it is.

This painting is on an 40cm x 50cm unframed gallery wrapped deep Eraldo canvas, were the design is wrapped around the edges of the canvas and is visible when hanging on the walls. It has been finished with gloss varnish for protection. 2 D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back and it is ready to hang to brighten up your home.
