‘Feminine’, a female portrait surrounded by swirling floral images, was inspired by the feminine paintings of Art Noveau Artist Alphonse Mucha, who was depicting women in extremely decorative floral settings women and lavish settings of their hair, usually curling in arabesque forms filling the frame.
‘Feminine’ started out as a fluid acrylic pour on a 24cm x 37cm white composite board embellished with the female portrait in mixed media. It is unframed and doesnt need framimg. It is protected with two layers of satin acrylic varnish. 2 D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back and it is ready to hang. The ‘Hoverlay’ image shows the unframed original painting.
Because of the size of the painting, it is categorised as “small format art”. These art works are considered dynamic collectibles, as an art lover can build a collection of small sized original paintings by theme, artist, medium or even just a similar colour.
