I Found the Perfect Pebble

The natural textures of pebbles and leaves have always fascinated me and forever I am trying to re-create them in my paintings. They are not only interesting for their shape, texture and patterns, but also what the represent for me and many others. Always looking for the special and different pebble, I collected them from every corner of the world and created my own personal pebble world in my backyard. I feel very close connected to these natural elements as I work in an outside studio where I am exposed and surrounded by the very subjects I love to paint.

With acrylic Fluid pouring I suddenly could re-create these natural looking surfaces. In this pebble painting I have used fluid acrylics as a back ground base on an 21cm by 26cm 300mg acrylic painting paper and it is framed with a 33cm x 40cm white frame. A white mat and glass protects the artwork. Two d-rings are attached to the back and it is ready for hanging. The artwork can be hung in portrait or landscape position.

Petite paintings like this one are categorised as “small format” works and they are dynamic collectibles. Art lovers can build a collection of small sized pictures by theme, artist, medium or even a similar colour.
