The Great Barrier Reef – a Landscape

This original painting ‘The Great Barrier Reef’ started with a fluid acrylic pour using the turquoise colour for the ocean and a rusty golden colour for the reef as background on a 365mm x 282mm x 3mm masonite board. After the pour had completely dried, it was embellished with a small single sea star that can be found in the corner of the waters edge.
It is framed with a 330mm x 430mm x 10mm modern black/white timber frame and finished with 2 layers of gloss acrylic varnish for protection, giving it a beautiful sheen finish. Two D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back of the painting.
