Whale Watching – SOLD

This image of a whale diving into the water was inspired by several whale watching tours  around the Gold Coast. We always try to take our overseas visitor to see something special Australian, and Whale Watching is one of the adventures we all enjoy. Humpback Whales are passing our shore lines twice each year, between April and November. They usually can be identified by the pattern on their fluke, often seen just before they dive into the deep water. As it is very difficult to get a proper reference photo during a whale watching excursion, the pattern of this whale’s fluke is more a product of my imagination. The water background of this painting is the result of a fluid acrylic pour in several blue acrylic paints on a 45cm x 60cm (18′ x 24′) stretched canvas.

This original painting is framed with a 51cm x 68cm white frame and has no glass or mat but is varnished with protective Acrylic gloss for protection. 2 D-Rings and hanging wire are attached at the back.

Please note that artwork displayed in rooms are for the purpose of demonstration only and not always to the exact scale. Please check dimensions for actual size. Other frames shown in the display are a suggestion only.

PLEASE NOTE: Colours can differ from monitor screens, mobile devices and tablets.

A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be attached to the back of the painting. Your painting will be packed with extra care in a sturdy recycled cardboard box to reduce our carbon footprint and will be shipped out within 1-3 business days.
