Yellow Crested Cockatoo

We are so lucky living in a part of Brisbane where plenty of these magnificent birds live. Quite often they wake me up in the morning with their raucous loud screeching, telling me it’s time to start the day. We often see these birds in flocks, foraging together on the ground. But we are not feeding these beautiful birds as they can get very distructive if you stop feeding them.

‘Yellow Crested Cockatoo’ started out as a fluid acrylic pour and I was waiting for quite some time before I knew what I wanted to embellish it with. And the colours of this bird just go so well with this background.

This fluid acrylic painting is on a water colour paper 25cm wide  x 20cm high and it is framed with a simple black frame 38cm x 30cm. The painting is finished with a white mat and protected by perspex. 2 D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back and it is ready to hang.

Because of the size of the painting it is categorised as “small format art”. These art works are considered dynamic collectibles, as an art lover can build a collection of small sized original paintings by theme, artist, medium or even just a similar colour.
